Hunting in South Africa

  • Your Outfitter

  • Your Outfitter - Read more

Henu Cronje, like many South African farm boys, grew up in nature hunting and learning about South Africa's diversity on their family farm situated in the Northern Free State. His love for Africa, hunting and the camaraderie associated with this was firmly set during his first hunting trip with his father to Namibia at age 11 where he shot his first springbuck.

Throughout school he regularly spent time in nature, honing his tracking, shooting and overall hunting skills. During school holidays he worked for various well known outfitters in the Safari industry tasked with the handling of trophies, shooting leopard bait, setting up hides, guiding and entertained clients etc.

At age 16 he was invited to hunt jaguars in Guatemala. Spending 3 weeks in Central America's jungle honed and formed a whole new skill set. As member of his high schools target shooting team he was awarded junior and senior marksman.

After school he completed his B.Com (Business management) degree and joined the family owned transport company with great success. As CEO he developed the business into a world class group of companies supplying transport and logistics solutions throughout Southern Africa for various well known oil, mining and chemical companies. This group still operates successfully.

During 2004 he started guiding and entertaining corporate groups as a part time hobby. Training various new hunters and introducing city folk to his passion - His love for Africa, nature and hunting!

Driven by passion this part time hobby quickly grew into a professional safari business - Infinite Africa Safaris. This also showed when he completed his PH course with the top score in his group. For this he received a special acknowledgment from the South African Nature conservation.

During his career he hunted and visited various Southern African countries. He also met, entertained and concluded business with a wide verity of personalities. These experiences, knowledge and passion will contribute in ensuring that your Safari is unforgettable!

    Wing Shooting

South Africa offers some of the finest bird shooting in the world, the varied species selection allows for very different experiences. From the high volume, fast and furious rock pigeon shoots to the far more refined francolin over dogs. Our duck hunting has generous bag limits and for the collector an absolute pleasure, 7 species of trophy duck is quite common.

Driven guinea fowl are possibly the most underrated of all our bird shooting, large birds that seem cumbersome and slow are totally the opposite, very fast and very wise, and they make a wonderful quarry! Paul Stones Safaris Africa has some of the finest bird shooting available, we also cater to all non shooting companions and day trips can be arranged to entertain those of you that might like a change in scenery.

    - Please note that the procedure regarding your firearm at customs depends on the airline used. The speed in which your permit will be handled, depends upon the speed in which the rifle case is handled before arriving at the SA Police Office. Please be patient when waiting for your rifle case.

    - We recommend that there is at least 3 hours between landing and your connecting flight.

Arriving at OR Tambo (Johannesburg) Airport::

We can obtain your temporary import permit prior to your arrival and courier it to you before your departure for South Africa. We can not however meet you at the airport as the firearms office is in the restricted area before passing through customs. We will need these applications 30 days prior to your arrival.

Please contact the PHASA office if you have any queries concerning the temporary importation of your firearms.

We wish you an unforgettable and very successful hunting safari to South Africa.

  • Taxidermy Services

  • Medical Evacuation

As the nature of safari always has the potential to create situations that are beyond the control of yourselves or Infinite Africa, the evacuation in the event of injury, illness or death can be an extremely costly exercise and often one fraught with difficulties. We highly recommend that you take out a policy that will cover all your needs in this regard.

Learn more about the MedjetAssist "hospital of choice" program in advance of your trip and enroll online at www.medjetassist.com/stones. MedjetAssist has Annual & Short-Term protection. Parties not from the U.S., Canada or Mexico will need to call to determine access to the MedjetAssist Foreign National or Short-Term program.

If calling, refer to: Code LAW 72

    1-800-527-7478

    1-205-595-6626

An accident or illness leaves you or a family member hospitalized in another city, state or country facing unknown and unproven medical providers. Who do you call and how do you get home? If you are a MedjetAssist member, you simply make one phone call.

Upon signing up with MedjetAssist, please email all the details to Infinite Africa Safaris so that in the event of you being incapacitated and unable to act on your own, we can phone the necessary information through to MedjetAssist to have you evacuated.

Infinite Africa does NOT have our own medical evacuation program; if a client decides not to take out his own policy, Infinite Africa Safaris does NOT accept any liability should an evacuation not take place.
